Chez Nina

After La Rochelle and La Samaritaine, Nina Métayer, voted the World's Best Pastry Chef, is opening her very first tea room: "Chez Nina", in the heart of Rivedoux-Plage on the Île de Ré.

CONCEPT
Family home

Inspired by the architecture and laid-back lifestyle of the Île de Ré, “Chez Nina” is designed to evoke a seaside family home—a bright, welcoming and convivial space where guests are invited to slow down, gather and share a delicious moment.

The boutique is organized around three complementary spaces: a counter, a tea room, and a more intimate lounge, each offering a different tasting experience throughout the day.

The ambition was to create a space that subtly blends the distinctive character of the Île de Ré with Nina Métayer’s own universe. Stone, wood, light paneling, natural textures, green zellige tiles, limewashed walls, and vibrant textiles come together in a palette of authentic, refined materials. The counter reinterprets the brand’s signature arches, while the back cabinet, inspired by traditional French dressers, pays tribute to local craftsmanship and timeless woodworking expertise.

Conceived as a home open year-round, “Chez Nina” is a place where heritage, craftsmanship, excellence, and indulgence come together to create an experience that is both generous and elegant, deeply rooted in the spirit of the Île de Ré.
